L&D Partner ConsultantJenny Muhlwa has been in Learning and Development for over 15 years, has a postgraduate in coaching for behavioural change and is the programme lead for Evolve. Jenny is excited to be launching this programme in the industry in collaboration with the other programme leads and mentors and will be overseeing the seamless experience for those on the programme and its overall effectiveness.

Senior L&D AdvisorAgnieszka has been the Senior Learning and Development Advisor for Sumo Group since 2022 and is one of the mentors responsible for designing and running the Evolve workshops. Aside from the workshops, Agnieszka will consult with programme participants if they need additional support.
Before you start
How to prepare for your first workshop
Participating in the Sumo Group Evolve programme is easy, all you need is a personal computer or laptop with a functioning microphone and webcam/camera.
Ahead of our first workshop, you’ll receive an invite to the Sumo Group Evolve Discord channel, which is where the workshops will be hosted, as well as information on the time and dates of each workshop.
Workshop 1:
Becoming a leader
Navigating self discovery
This first workshop is designed to help you visualise the type of leader you want to become, and find your own style.
We’ll start with a discussion about our own experiences and expectations with leadership and use examples to learn from.
This session will be followed by a separate, hour-long Q&A session on leadership with an experienced lead game developer.
Workshop 2:
Team leadership
Mastering communication
Our second workshop helps you to recognise your communication preferences, and gives you the tools to adapt your communication style to any personality for the very best results.
This session is highly interactive, and we’ll use a series of practical activities to equip you with proven communication methods to engage with all types of people.
This session will be followed by a separate, hour-long Q&A session on communication with an experienced lead game developer.
Workshop 3:
Growing as a leader
Feedback for growth
Our final workshop teaches you how to build a performance driven culture in any team. We will give you the tools to run outstanding 1:1s with your team, and structure meetings that keep your team motivated, productive, and learning continuously.
We will also teach you how to employ radical candour to give feedback that inspires growth and fosters a culture of excellence.
This session will be followed by a separate, hour-long Q&A session on team feedback with an experienced lead game developer.

Continuous learning
After completing the three workshops, you’ll be equipped with the necessary skills to become a great leader.
But first, there’s the matter of attending the Sumo Group Evolve graduation event, where you’ll get the chance to celebrate your achievements and reflect on your time with the programme with mentors and fellow participants.
